Ordered T61 from US CA 7/21 estimated ship 9/6 (!), but actually shipped 8/8 (yesterday). So I think they are being conservative on the ship estimates, as others have suggested.

Did they notify you the shipping?

My ship date got pushed back to 9.9.2007.

This sucks. Have I mentioned that I am computer-less?

I can do without it though, I am on one at work all day anyway... :( .

Thanks for the feedback .... my battery is a 92P1132 and I double checked the amount of wiggle with a better measuring device on the gaps. It's closer to only 1mm at both sides so I probably don't have a real warranty replacement issue. I went ahead and tried and old cell phone trick that worked on an old Nokia 6160 series phone I used to own. I placed a couple of very small self adhesive black velcro strips (only the looped halves) on each side wall of the T61's battery bay and the wiggle is now all but gone. Also, the good news is the strips do not hinder the ease of battery removal so I guess that I'm good to go for now.

Thanks for the help!

It might have to do with parts availability. Maybe the T7500 is more available than the T7700 or T7300. Who knows?

Then again, maybe life isn't entirely fair.

My order for the T61 with UWB finally shipped. Ordered on 07/20/2007. ESD 08/22/2007. I was told the other day I was put on the critical list. Good Luck everyone else. T61's and T61p's with UWB are finally shipping.

P.S. Have not received the email confirmation yet. I check the order status page. So, do not have a tracking # just yet. Shipped on 08/11/2007.

Looks like they got whatever part they were waiting for to build T61p's yesterday and sent out a bunch. Including mine, just shy of two weeks after the original estimated ship date.

I received mine this morning. It shipped on 3/11 and it's here on 3/13. That's pretty fast for standard shipping. It sucks that I have to be here at work though. I miss my T61p already T_T
