Ordered T61 from US CA 7/21 estimated ship 9/6 (!), but actually shipped 8/8 (yesterday). So I think they are being conservative on the ship estimates, as others have suggested.
Did they notify you the shipping?

Re: Battery movement.
Thanks for the feedback .... my battery is a 92P1132 and I double checked the amount of wiggle with a better measuring device on the gaps. It's closer to only 1mm at both sides so I probably don't have a real warranty replacement issue. I went ahead and tried and old cell phone trick that worked on an old Nokia 6160 series phone I used to own. I placed a couple of very small self adhesive black velcro strips (only the looped halves) on each side wall of the T61's battery bay and the wiggle is now all but gone. Also, the good news is the strips do not hinder the ease of battery removal so I guess that I'm good to go for now.gfolkert wrote:eecon wrote:

Wait, you ordered a T61p five days ago and it already shipped? How about the rest of us who ordered a month ago?!?! WTF???jlachesk wrote:jlachesk wrote:

It might have to do with parts availability. Maybe the T7500 is more available than the T7700 or T7300. Who knows?Pocket Aces wrote:Wait, you ordered a T61p five days ago and it already shipped? How about the rest of us who ordered a month ago?!?! WTF???

My order and ship dates are the same 7/20 and 8/22 and mine is still in progress
How did you manage to get on the critical list? Did you call them 100 times or what?

Re: My T61 shipped in about 2.5 weeks
Yes, I got an email from lenovo (pleasant surprise, as I had given up checking for a few weeks) and now am tracking it via UPS. It's arrived in CA, US and should be delivered to my door Monday (8/13).mailthinkpads wrote:thinkpad_customer67 wrote:

Don't be too discouraged. You'll probably find that yours will ship within the week, like many of ours have (I ordered on 7/11, shipped yesterday).hansontax wrote:paOol wrote:

I received mine this morning. It shipped on 3/11 and it's here on 3/13. That's pretty fast for standard shipping. It sucks that I have to be here at work though. I miss my T61p already T_T

I'm at work also. I had a rescheduled date of 8/13, but now, my package is "in transit" with no estimated delivery date.
