Similar experience here.

Original order date 2/24...

ETA was originally 3/31.

Today, I clicked the "agree to the delay" link and my ETA is now 4/05.
No sign of any 2623DDU going out yet. Express my a$$.

Color me shocked.

I ordered on 3/3 and I just learned my T60p (2007-92U) shipped today. Wow.

When I get it, I'll be evaluating it to see if I should keep it. It's either the T60p or the MacBook Pro for my daily do-everything machine. I no longer see a need for a desktop computer.

On January 31st, I ordered a T42p (2623DDU) and the ship date says 4/3/06

On March 13th, I ordered a 200793U (same as DDU, but tiwh 2.16GHz and no WWLAN) and it shipped today!

So now it's the Verizon card slowing it down. I don't even need it.

Ordered 200793U on 3/6 with an original est. ship date of 4/10. Later the ship date dropped to 3/31 when I changed an item on the order. I just got an email saying it shipped today :D :D :D

No serial numbers or tracking numbers yet, so I hope this isn't a false alarm.

I'll second Mandrake on that one...EXPRESS MY A$$!

I said it in another thread...the delay HAS to be the Verizon card. All the 2007's that people are getting don't have that WWAN option...

Lol, me either. In fact I don't think I could get the service if I wanted it, at least not where I live.

That's ok. To get a T60p for less than what I paid, you'd have to commit a felony.

I can wait 8)

Today's order status:
Ordered 2623DDU on 03/08/2006
Estimated ship date was 04/04/2006 as of last night.
Checked today and the ship date changed to 04/11/2006.
I clicked the "I agree to the delay" button and the page errored out.
I refreshed the order status and now the ETA is 04/12/2006. arrrgh!!!

I noticed that there are still no T60P models listed on the website as of tonight. Only two T60s are listed: a 1953-D5U and a 1951-44U. Oversold or lack of parts ???

The saga continues ........
Ordered 2623DDU with extra 1GB RAM 3/8/06

yes, Sony still makes 6-cell batteries (but not 9-cell). but since they are completely diferent from the T4x series, there's no way to tell which is 'best' until we all try them:

This morning my 2623DDU ship date was pushed back from today to 4/12. My order was placed on 2/6. I'm having the order switched to one of the non-verizon models - even if I have to go to the bottom of the queue, I'd rather wait a month for something that is actually being shipped. I only use my laptop at home and at work anyway, so I'd never use the WWLAN if I had it.

The town I live in just announced free wireless internet access for everybody in the city. I really really really don't need that stupid card. When I am at work I have plenty of internet access.

That's pretty odd, did you deviate from a stock 2623DDU at all?

My order placed on 2/24 was bumped from 4/06 to 4/07 yesterday, but today (after performing the now ritual "agree to the delay" daily routine), it actually stayed at 4/07.

I got a confirmation email today from Lenovo that my order has been shipped. Yay!!! :D :D

I wish I had visited this forum before ordering. I would have gotten a Atheros wireless card instead of the Intel.

you can still buy the Atheros card and just replace it yourself, as long as you're comfortable opening the laptop.

I presume that replacing the 3945abg with the Atheros card does not void or otherwise impact the 3yr warranty? Do you need to buy the Atheros card from Lenovo in order to keep the warranty in good standing?

on the T4x series, replacing the WiFi card did NOT void the warranty. I assume the same is true on the T60.

you can buy the Atheros card from any merchant, but it must have a Lenovo part number. Lenovo makes a minor modification so that its systems recognize certain components, such as bluetooth, wifi, etc.

Probably I will end up doing that (I am extremely comfortable in taking a laptop apart) - but I want to see how badly the intel one perform. Also, usually what is the price of a wirelesss card? I bought the T60p through EPP. Are the EPP discounts valid towards purchasing parts also?

yes, but we're not supposed to mention EPP on these forums. you'll see the part after you login.

My new T60 just shipped:

Ordered on: 3/16/2006
Est. ship: 3/30/2006
Shipped on: 3/18/2006

So it looks like some models are shipping very quickly. Now I have to order my 1GB memory upgrade...

Which gives my order another 12 days to ship; after which I break down and start to cry.

Thanks, but I'm not crying

nope - I ordered extra ram and power cord, but I received all that weeks ago. the machine itself is straight stock.

I can't find any reports of a 2623DDU actually shipping - which makes me doubt any estimated ship date. The model being pulled from the online store isn't comforting either. Hopefully someone will get confirmation soon and post it.

On 16th of march, Ordered a modest 2623D6U, modest in terms of what I see people here ordering. Modest, Powerful, Portable.

Euclid is the dealer from which I ordered from., since it ships worldwide. No ETA as yet.

The downpart is that it's videocard, only 64 MB, but hopefully we'll invent a way to make the card hypermemoristical...but for my uses it's enough. And cashwise it is 18XX USD.

With a subject like that, I'm not sure how I missed it either.

Anyway, mine was marked as shipped when I checked this morning as well, so perhaps the gates have opened. :)

I ordered mine 21 days after you. Lenovo probably took a crap load of orders for the 2623DDU in that time. Now I'm think I won't get mine until the first or second week of April.
