I had a bit of trouble...but it worked out in the end.

Ordered last Sunday night, right before the orig. sale date was to end. I got a time-out error, and re-submitted....lo and behold, I accidentally placed two orders. D'oh! But, I also realized that I wanted a different configu (less proc. and no finger print reader)...

So, I call the next day and ask to cancel one order, and change the other. The first is canceled just fine...but the rep on the phone didn't seem to know how to make the changes, and said I'd have to get it shipped, return it, and place a new order...getting me my thinkpad shortly before the apocolypse. No dice, chief. I say thanks and am on my way...

I call back later in the day and talk to a new rep. Quite useful, and was actually from Lenovo Canada. He transfered me to a different lady who knew what she was doing. She said that since the order was printed to the depot (?) that it would take about 24 hours for the changes to process, and she'd call and E-Mail me. This was Monday.

Tuesday...nothing. Wednesday...nothing, so I call. Thursday...nothing, so I call again. Also, I check my Credit Card, and the temporary 'hold' on it was erased, and the original order number does not work when I go to check my status. SH*T! The sale is still on, but my same config is $80 more (gb RAM). Not cool...

Then, I remember...I saved a cart with the config I wanted (with the changes)...there might be hope! I login and open the cart - it's still there! Praise be to Allah, Jesus, and Buddah!!! I placed the order, it went through and I got the confirm E-Mail.

Seems to have got stuck in customs otherwise i would of gotten it yesterday...now i have to wait until Monday.

...one more thing, when I called to get a status on the ship date last week I also asked what video card was included with my order (ordered the Friday before they switched to the newer version). Even though I ordered it with a 5200 he said it had a 5250...not holding my breath on that but it would be nice.

...anyone notice location CHEK LAP KOK? Sounds like check laptop

I googled it earlier today when lookig at the UPS progress of my T60P.

It shipped! Way earlier than expected! Hooray!

Hi, I ordered my T60 (2613-CTO) on 12/14 and my est. shipping date is 1/18. I was wondering if anyone can hep me with a couple of questions.

1) Is this system T60 or T60P ?
2) Is the security chip included on the system automatically since I have the fingerprint ? If yes, then why I don't see it on the parts list? (I called Lenovo twice on this and I got 2 different answers)
3) Is it a good price ?

They're giving me a free Lenovo Messenger case as well as the Vista Upgrade.

Just got T60 Widescreen (8741-4GU)!

Ordered 12/07/06. Shipped 12/15/06. Received 12/18/06.

Gotta say I am impressed. It's wider than I exepcted, even though the review pictures showed that. But it's lighter than you'd think I'd be, maybe it's all perception.

The screen is really nice, seems better than my t42 and t43 14" screens.

I orderded my T60p on 11 Dec 2006, it is scheduled to ship 25 Dec 2006. I called today but got no more info other than "yep it's due to ship on Christmas" and "there's a 25% chance it will ship early and a 24% chance it will ship late".

I'm really looking forward to it's arrival! My R51e is just not strong enough for my needs.

YESSSS... My baby was shipped out today. A lot faster than I expected. I should receive it on 12/22/06. They first said it is estimated to be shipped out on 1/18/06 as I've stated on previous post. It's a good thing that I will get it before Christmas. But, the weird thing is it is being shipped out from NC and not China. For some reason, I thought all T60's are coming from China these days. Did you guys know that?

Luck to all others that are waiting for a ship date.

Mine shipped today (yesterday in Hong Kong really). It already arrived in Alaska. UPS says it's scheduled to be delivered tomorrow (12/21) but I sincerely doubt this. In any event, I am glad since the original shipping date was January 18th!!!

I just saw on UPS that it's "delayed" in Ontario. [censored]!

Mine was delivered today. In fact I'm writing this post from it now. I love it !!!!!!

Lenovo must have expedited their orders -- I purchased mine on Mon Dec 18th and it was shipped from Kowloon on Dec 21st (Far East) -- it's now Dec 22nd and it's "out for delivery" (from Philadelphia) -- I was prepared to see it early in January and now it seems I'll have it before Christmas -- that's much faster than recent experience suggests!

Original order date: 11/29 est ship date 01/02

Called a couple of days later to correct an error in additional items on the order, slid to 01/05.

Order was split by Lenovo with 2 additional items est ship 12/20

UPS attempted delivery on 12/19. Picked it up the next morning, was the laptop and 3 of 5 additional items. Actual ship date was 12/15.

Checked the order status this morning. Laptop is still shown as in process, shipping 01/05. 2 additional items still in process, now shipping 01/02.

Wonder whether they will hold off on chanrging my credit card until 01/05...

It arrived!
I am quite pleased (and impressed) with UPS, from Hong Kong to Alaska, to Ontario, to Arizona, and to my door, in about two days.

The UPS driver tried to cheat though, he rang the bell once, and when I opened the door he was already in the truck. He then said he had rung twice. My house is pretty small, son no chance of that hehehehe. In any event, I caught him before he sped away.

Nice to hear so wonderful news from you guys, congratulations and welcome aboard! It seems that Lenovo is getting sharp with delivery, well that means the company is commited to improve, they won´t let us down surely... the brand will get better in the coming years and we will enjoy our lappys for a while... Merry Christmas and enjoy the gift you have given to yourselves... well deserved!!!

I thought I have no chance of getting the package this year since I will be away for a whole week.
UPS somehow decide to deliver the package early, perhaps because it's holiday season?

Bah! It's sitting at the UPS facility two miles from me! It's so close, but I'll have to wait until the 26th...bummer, too, because it was held up for 12-15 hours in KY. Oh well, the original ship date was supposed to be December 29, so I'm happy!
