I had no idea the T60 was so different, especially the cooling system.
That could be great news...

I was just told my my Lenovo rep that the new advanced dock for the T60 only supports 1600 x 1200 via the DVI port. That means I can't drive my HP L2335 23" LCD (1920 x 1200).RonS wrote:The 1280x1024 DVI limit was eliminiated by the stock IBM drivers about 1.5-2 years ago. I drive my 24" 1920x1200 display right off the Dock II's DVI connector using the stock drivers.
if u use the ati omega drivers then u can use a lot higher resolutions. Look hereSottozero wrote:I was just told my my Lenovo rep that the new advanced dock for the T60 only supports 1600 x 1200 via the DVI port. If this is true, it really, really blows. I'll have to cancel my entire order.
and did you try those drivers on a 1920x1200 screen through DVI?a_d_y_a wrote:if u use the ati omega drivers then u can use a lot higher resolutions. dont be hasty to cancel your order. and the omega drivers are really cool and stable. i ran them exclusively with my t43.
it happens beacuase most cameras have an IR filter on the sensor which blocks out IR light from normal daylight. It cannot block the IR from the IR port of the laptop.darrenf wrote:Seriously? What causes the camera to pick that up?own6volvos wrote:The IR port doesn't have a purple LED

its seems that the 15" model has no vents, and that the 14.1" has.lithium726 wrote:i found a pic of the T60 board with discrete graphics

if you check out the pictures, their model does not have the cooling vents on the bottom

Usually just cheaper CMOS cameras like those found in cellphones (not CCDs), which coincidentally dont have IR filters. Try shining your TV remote into your cell phones camera and see what I mean.a_d_y_a wrote:it happens beacuase most cameras have an IR filter on the sensor which blocks out IR light from normal daylight.
