I did not realize until I read that review that the DVD+RW "recordable" is a Dual Layer unit. Nice!

Can dual layer DVDs be read by pretty much any DVD player (in computers? DVD players for televisions)? What's the compatibility? Thanks.

do you think you could use this dual layer multiburner in a t43/t42/t41 i.e. other notebooks with the ultrabay slim fitting? Might be handy for those of us looking for the burner upgrade...

Not working with double layer DVD before are these RW at 9.4GB? What maximum capacity disk is everyone going to be using?

Both Double Layer and Dual Layer (one is + and one is -) are 8.5 GB...and no, there is no such thing as RW DL for either format. :(
