just checked online at a few other T60 configurations, just yesterday it said 25 day availability, today it's only 15. i believe people will be getting their laptops soon.

Very exciting! I have used ThinkPads for years, usually upgrading to a new one every 18 months or so. I think that the T60 promises to provide the most noticeable speed increase of all the T series to date. I ordered a Core Duo T2500 2.ghz 1GB/100GB 15" TFT. The email I received today said that it shipped this morning, so I should have it soon.

Thanks Pundit! Have you ordered one and if so, when? I know a couple other people that are receiving updated delivery dates that are earlier than originally quoted.

I ordered on 2/28, and initially received a 4/7 shipping estimate. That soon became 4/14. But all this news about people's orders being processed (earlier than they expected) makes me feel that's a very conservative estimate.

The deal is, I (not very intelligently) ordered a 2007C8U with additional memory and battery. Apart from the customisation, other threads say that either this 2.16 GHz processor or the new FireGL v5200 might be adding to the time. But it so happens that I've lived without a laptop for a couple of months now, and it's not like the end of the world; as what I'd originally assumed.

My order includes both the 2.16 ghz processor and the v5200....still says 3/22 for shipping. (ordered on 2/15). My date hasn't slipped (yet).

I ordered on 2/20. The initial ship date was 3/28, then 10 days later changed to 3/14. Then yesterday I recieved an email saying it had shipped. So to those of you waiting I would not be too concerned if the date moves around as it is after all, an Estimate of the ship date.

I ordered mine on 2/17, and the initial delivery date was 4/3. The funny thing is, I read this thread this morning and checked my status on their web page a few hours ago - it still said 4/3.

So I call to check on status, and just as the rep was coming on, pulled it up on the web again for reference, and it showed it shipped today! I asked her, and she said it had just shipped. So really, it was only a three week wait from order to ship.

I got free shipping as well, and looked up the tracking number to see it comes out of Hong Kong. I called UPS for an est delivery date, and they said it's guaranteed fof Monday (3/13) by noon, unless it gets held up in customs.

I'm sooo excited about this notebook.

Here is what I ordered:

200776U - T60, 2GHz, 15" Flexview TFT, 1GB ram, 100 GB HD (7200 RPM), DVD Writer, Radeon X1400, 3 Yr TP Protection/3 Yr Depot/3 Yr Onsite

It came with the 6 cell but I also ordered the 9 cell and the ultrabay battery... (can never have enough battery life)

My delivered cost w/ tax was $3,086 (I am student and alumni).

This laptop will actually be replacing a desktop, a desktop replacement laptop, and a light laptop, so I'm excited to get down to one PC...

jdebord - does your UPS tracking number come up on the Lenovo website?

I just checked my T60P (200793U) order and it said it had shipped today. However, the tracking link doesn't work (only has "1Z" as the tracking number). Does this take a while to update on the website?

Takes about a day. Usually calling them works too.

Ordered my T60 (200773U) on 2/20. First delivery date shown was 3/14, then that was pushed to 3/28, then days later back to 3/15. Yesterday an email came saying it was being shipped.
I just called UPS as my tracking number only showed as 1Z on the email from Lenovo. The UPS rep said it left HK this morning and will be delivered to me in California Mon 13th... Outstanding. This is the first ThinkPad I have purchased sight unseen. So, I'm really eager to see what it looks like with the new updated form factor.

good luck waiting for the machines. I would expect all of you to deliver nice reviews please!


also it looks like 15 " are shipping first. anybody with 14 inch ?
(besides the dude with the base model available at pc connection etc)

Yes, it takes a day or so to update, as I also had only a 1Z as the tracking number and the next day it provided me with a complete tracking number.
That was yesterday and UPS says I should receive it on Monday!

Mandrake, I ordered my T60P on Valentine's Day . The estimated shipping date was always 29 March according to the website. When I spoke to my sales rep this week, he said the date had been moved up to the 22nd. You can imagine my delight when I randomly checked my order status on the Lenovo website this afternoon to see it as "shipped".

I just called Levnov. The sales said none of the T60p had been shiped because of the shortage of graphic card. r1ych is so lucky. Hope I can be as lucky as you.

I must admit it has taken me by surprise, although I did try and order it early as I could to be as near to front of the "line" as possible.

I double-checked the order and it reads:

1 SYS.200793 CONFIGURED SYSTEM
200793U T60P T2600 15"UXGA+ 256MBGX 1 1
Shipped 1 on 03/10/2006

So, fingers crossed it has all the correct components! Will let you know and take some photos once it's here

I believe you. I am just angry with Lenovo. I ordered on Jan.31. My model is much lower than you but it is still not shipped and the sales knew nothing.
