T60 or Z60t?
T60 or Z60t?
Hi,
Recently, I've ordered T60 and Z60t. (first ordered T60 then Z60t)
T60 is 2623D6U equipped with Dual core 1.86MHz,XPP, 14"SXGA+,
ATI64MB,512MB/80GB/DL-DVDRW/802.11abg/bluetooth+3yr depot warranty.
&
Z60t is configured to Pentium M 2.0Mhz, Titanium lid,
XPHome, 14WXGA, intel 900, 512MB/80GB/DL-DVDRW/802.11abg
+3yr depot warranty.
The price difference is about $300.
I'm going to return one of them after some use for comparision.
Anyhow, if you were I, which one do you keep?
How about the expected performance difference between two?
Any comments will be welcomed.
Thanks in advance.
Andy
P.S. Sorry, I took the price down from original posting.

Assuming there were no issues with either machine, I would keep the T60 for the following reasons:
1) The T60's display has more real estate. SXGA+ gives a lot more desktop space than WXGA.
2) There's a Core Duo in the T60, which is much better than the Pentium M.
3) Windows XP Professional on the T60, XP Home on the Z60t. I need the features of Professional.
Hope at least one of the machines works out for you!

Homebuilt PC: AMD Athlon XP (Barton) @ 1.47 GHz; nForce2 Ultra; 1GB RAM; 80GB HDD @ 7200RPM; ATI Radeon 9600; Integrated everything else!
get the T60, reasons:
First and foremost: CORE DUO!
Then, ATI graphics versus integrated Intel 900
and finally, you're getting WinXP Pro, only benefit i've seen w/ WinXP Pro is a few extra networking add-ins if you want to transfer files among other computers
but the first 2 should be enough to warrant the $300 difference. I returned my Z60T to get a T60 and so far, i'm happier.
One last thing, you get a 6cell battery w/ the T60 standard, the Z60t comes w/ a 4cell standard battery.

Can I simply swap out my T5500 CPU in my 1953CTO T60 with a T5600? Or my T2400 core duo in my 2623D6U T60?
