Gentlemen and ladies,
For your T60's (those of you who have it), what's the battery life you guys get on it?
Thanks,
Vincent

I myself would love to know as well. From tabook it mentioned that a 6 cell T60 would have "up to" 6hrs, compare with 3.xx to 4 for a T43, and 4-5 hrs for a T42.

There are many different claims for battery life floating around.
I haven't had a chance to fully drain the 6 cell battery on my 2007-63U, but with wireless enabled Windows is listing around 3 hours battery life and with it disabled it is listing around 4. This is only what Windows claims so don't take it as fact.
You might be able to approach 6-7 hours on one of the slower core duos with onboard graphics, wireless disabled and screen at minimum brightness, but I kind of doubt it.

The thinkpad power manager with its default settings says the
battery will go about 3 hrs when fully charged. This is with 802.11b
running.

I have a t60p with the 14" screen. I am very impressed with battery life compared to my 15" powerbook battery life. With video, wifi and good brightness, I have easily 4.5 hours. Could easily get five hours I bet.
(I have the 9 cell by the way)
More is always nice, but for a laptop with this much horsepower (see my other thread called "my like with a t60p" for performace numbers), I think five hours is outstanding.
Add a battery in the drive bay and this thing will be perfect

I've been contemplating about this 9-cell battery. The thing about it is that it sticks out from the back of the laptop. Does it bother anyone? Does it make the laptop bulkier?
I'm thinking about PCMCIA cards, for example. Normally it doesn't bother me to have a PCMCIA card stuck permanently inside the slot and 1 inch to the outside of the laptop, but some people don't like it. Is it the same with the battery?
