As the subject says. All others may come up missing in action.

Re: Shipping Posts/Rants go to OFF TOPIC
What if it's not a rant and in a thread designated to talk about who's ordered/receiving what when?Kyocera wrote:As the subject says.
Edit: Oh, were you referring to the numerous threads that went "MY T60p shipped !!!11!!"?
Happily picks up his three grand; unhappily hands it over to another company.

Goes to Off Topic. This was decided a couple of months ago when all threads were becoming diluted with them. Please just follow the guideline, not a big deal really. Thank you.
Your post is still here because it does contain a little information other than shipping dates times etc, it is very borderline though. I hope you guys like your t60's cause I am jealous.

It would be nice if there were a way to have just one thread on this topic. Maybe if people start new ones, they can just be moved to one subsuming thread?
Or it would be nice if there could be a subsection in each area of the forum that was for "off topic" discussions that are still particular to that topic.
Part of the T60 experience, as it were, is people sharing their experiences of waiting for these notebooks (since for a while we haven't had much else to do). A lot of people seem to enjoy this. It also seems like these posts will die down anyway, once T60s are shipping pretty regularly and most people who have been waiting a long time have them.
I mean it does seem like the question of the shipping of T60s is a T60 specific topic, even if it's not the most content laden one. I wouldn't be looking for those posts elsewhere. Moving them seems confusing.

And I agree with Kyocera. That is a good idea.Kyocera wrote:I totally agree with you donking, and i think that pundit has a good thread going there as far as the shipping, dates, times etc. Perhaps we can turn that into a sticky and have it remain at the top?
Though I was kinda proud of of how that thread sustained itself, staying at the top without needing to be stickied. God I'm such a geek.

Ah, the pride of a well receive thread. I'm not immune to it.pundit wrote:Though I was kinda proud of of how that thread sustained itself, staying at the top without needing to be stickied. God I'm such a geek.
Stickying the topic seems like a decent idea. Maybe it could be stickyed until people seem to lose interest in it and then unstickyed? Perhaps the subject heading could also be changed to say:
Have you ordered a T60(p)? (Any other shipping post go off topic.)
Something like that.
