Hi, I've seen the 40Y7696 adapter available for the 60 series, but is does it deliver enough juice for one of the more power-hungry units? have a 2326ddu t60p on the way, and need to restock on spare power supplies.

Thanks - Joe

I would say no on the 65W. I'm not sure why they have it as an option for T60. I mean, the 90W is quite small actually...so it's not even a size thing.

Mine in taking an hour or so just to finish the last few percent of charging on this beast. You really want 90W. I can't imagine anything charging this batt slower, but 65W might do it. Actually, with 65W PS you may only be operating OR charging (with unit off) and not both at all...

I asked this question to a Lenovo sales rep and he said no way. The T60 needs a 90w adapter. He was puzzled as to why the 65w adapter came up as an accessory for the T60.

I noticed somewhere - forget now where - in IBM docs that mentions the 65W is only usable on 19xx laptops. Mystery solved.

The 65Watt AC adapter and 90w AC Adapters are both options on the T60 Series.

If you have a model with discrete graphics, aka the ATI Cards.. then you will get a 90 watt.

If you get a machine with an intel based card , or integrated it will come with a 65 watt AC Adapter.

Here's the real question...

Where can we buy a universal 90w adapter for the T60p that actually has the grounding post? I showed the plug to a co-worker and she said that it is the same type of plug that they use in Japan. The little buzzing noise is going to drive me crazy.
