DVI plug - no hole for blade?!

#1 Post by he46570 » Thu Mar 30, 2006 1:37 pm

I just received my brand spanking new T60 with the Advanced Port Replicator.

As some of you know, there is a DVI output in the port replicator. However, it's bizarre that there is no 'hole' for the blade found on normal DVI plugs such that I cannot connect the DVI cable to the socket. Anyone have any thoughts? The T60 still looks pretty decent going via analog, but it's not what I signed up for.

Cheers.

no what for the what? A picture would help.
Could be that the connector on your dock is a DVI-D and your cable is a DVI-I.

Ah, that's it. Thanks for that. It obviously accepts DVI-D which has a much 'thinner' blade compared to the DVI-I type.
