T60p Preloaded software Question??

Hey,

I'm trying to run a java client program and it gave me an error that it needs Java Run Time environement.

Now I thought the T60s had preloaded java 1.4.2

but I downloaded the new JRE anyways from Sun's site.
during the installation it gave me an error message that the directory it needs to access for the Java updater is locked.

So it in essence failed to install or update the JRE.
I still can't run the application I want to run.. or update the JRE..

any help would be appreciated.
