Rescue & Recovery Won't Backup to Extra HDD

I have run Rescue and Recovery on my new T60p but it won't backupt to any hard drive except C: I have tried this on both a separate HD in an an UltraBay (or maybe UltraSlimBay) adapter replacing the DVD drive as D, and with a separate HD attached by a USB2 adapter. I also have tried booting with these devices attached, but Rescue and Recovery won't give me any choices except C: and DVD/CD.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? It never was a problem with T42p / T43 systems.

It will - on the backup screen, click on the "Set Schedule and Preferences" and check all those backup places that you would like to backup to. I have successfully done a backup to a USB hard drive.
