The already dwindeling future of Core Duo?

I know that this is a T60 section, mine will hopefully be cleared from the customs tomorrow....But hey only T60 have dual core, so you mostly can understand this...and a little while ago I read this:

And I hoped that Dual Core had some longevity. I haven't even touched or seen my machine, and it's blazing smashing hulkig succesor is already anounced... How do you guys feel?

UPDATED: April 2, 2006 - For all of you who fell victim to our fun - HAPPY APRIL FOOL'S DAY! There is of course no "Quadcore processor" that we know of at this time.
