I've seen the won't resume threads, but...

is anyone having issues with getting the system to suspend?
T60p 2623DDU.
I'm watching the task manager and nothing is consuming CPU time while it waits to suspend.
I've tried the key sequence, shut down/standby and closing the cover, but it just keeps running.
Any ideas?

Some programs such as video can prevent suspend. Alcohol 120% is another program that I've heard can cause this. Take a look in Event Viewer for events that are logged at the time you try to enter suspend, for clues. Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer.

I'm back at my desk on a wired LAN connection and running on AC. No problems are evident with the Suspend/Standby funcitonality. There never are at the end of a work day.
I only see this problem when running on a wireless LAN connection where it is a more common requirement, unfortunately.
Last evening after my post, after noting that it never occurs when wired in, I decided to download the update for the Intel radio to see if the update had addressed the issue whether known or not.
The update hung in the setup phase and now I've lost my Thinkvantage update functionality. It connnects to the server, goes into the "Downloading Package Information" step and then fails at 20% with an "Unable to connect to the Package Content Server" message.
Is the update system down or is this another re-install opportunity for me?
I was able to find the download location on my HDD for the Intel WLAN update and complete the process so at least I've got my wireless back to work on the "WON'T SUSPEND" issue.
Any ideas?
GomJabbar - Any reason the video would affect me in the wired vs. wireless scenarios?
I'm digging through event logs now.
