Fn+F2 locking and screen brightness

#1 Post by sharkym » Mon Apr 10, 2006 2:53 pm

Hi all,

I just received my T60 a few days ago, and am going through some of the utilities.

I've notice that when on batteries, the screen dims even though brightness (Fn Home) is at maximum? I would like the screen to be as bright as possible even on batteries. I've looked through the ThinkVantage Power Manager, and can't seem to find the option.

I want to use Fn+F2 to lock the computer, but it always presents me with a menu (consisting of only one option->lock my computer) Is there anyway to set it so it automatically locks without me clicking on this option? Kinda like what happens when you press "windows button + L" (which is annoying cuz it takes two hands)

thanks!

For the brightness issue, in "programs" go to ThinkPad Configuration (under ThinkVantage), click on LCD, and change setting for the LCD when running on batteries from normal to high.
