Pixelated screen?

I am getting a strange pixelation when using Internet Explorer on my T60. I have the XVGA+ screen, and it does not happen in any other programs except IE. I can see it when it slightly when looking at the screen straight on and even more when bending the screen a little away from me. Mostly in the upper right hand corner. Anyone else getting this or can guess at its origin?

Hi: There is an older thread on this topic here:

http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.ph ... highlight=

Basically, the conclusion seems to have been that it is likely a Windows/Internet Explorer issue, not a hardware problem. I've noticed this strange phenomenon in IE on a variety of different systems (Dell and Compaq notebooks, Sony desktop, and my T43). If you change the theme in XP to "Windows Classic," this problem goes away.

By the way, the originator of the old thread was *convinced* it was a problem with his machine and went through a number of impressive contortions--plugging and unplugging LCD's, fiddling with arcane power settings, and God knows what else--to little effect. I just want to make sure you avoid that kind of frustration!

Stay well!

Thanks a lot man, that fixed it nicely, and this setting is actually a lot better than that XP bubble crap.
