is it possible to save the Restore Partition

I have a 7k100 coming this week. Has anyone ever relocated the ibm_service partition? I like the idea of not having to carry any discs. Also i cant stand and dont know why the rescue disks they send wipe all partitions and you start extra extra clean. I dont care about pushing th thinkvantage key. I thought i might b able to justs copy the ibm_service partition to the 7k100 and have it show in a boot menu at start up.
Any ideas?
