I just got my T60, but I found a grey line across LCD appears for a while when the computer is turned on or turned off. Does anybody know this issue? Is LCD defective ?

Is your LCD made by Samsung? I checked LCD of a Z60T, there is no this grey line issue.

Send it back immediately. It's defective. The sooner the better as there most certainly to be a wait time for a replacement.

Are you guys sure?
I've seen this grey line in mine but it appears only when I shutdown and for a half of a second, and that seems to me like a shutdown effect.

Have you always seen this grey line after you got your T60? I don't think it is a shutdown effect since I don't see it on other machines.

Well, I am not really sure...right now I am in a dark room and I do not notice it when standby-ing or shutting screen off. But I thought it was something similar to CRT screens effect when they shutdown sometimes.
My grey line as I recall it become about 2 or 3 millimeters thick, somehow like the screen compresses at that line, this happens very, very fast, 1/3 second. The line seems a bit inertial, but it dissapears quick. However when in dark environments I do not see it any more...
My LCD is a Samsung. Besides this, which I do not regard as a problem, it is a very good one.

I've got the same behavior...the line shows up right before the screen turns off and then goes away. Didn't strike me as a major issue...
