Video skips when I move the t60

I've had my 2623d6u for a few weeks now and love it. I recently noticed a problem with watching video files while on a plane - if i accidentally bump the laptop while it is playing a video, the video will skip for about a second. Rigorously jittering it will cause a sustained pause till I stop movement. I'm wondering if this is the way it's supposed to behave. My previous cheap & outdated laptop did not have this problem, so I am wondering what causes it. Is it a side-effect of the hard-disk protection or power-saving mechanism?

I can reproduce the skipping even with power-settings on "Max Performance" and with the laptop plugged in. I've had skipping problems with both videos from a DVD and with .avi files on the hard disk. Scrolling down Picasa with lots of pictures ot render will also cause skipping, though I've had no problems with audio files.

Yes. Go into Active Protection System under Thinkvantage and turn the sensitivity down.
