o.k. I have both a back up recovery disk, and a back up from TrueImage ... of everything as it is ... (TrueImage seems to be a lot faster than the IBM back up program ... I wonder why)

but in any case I two back ups of my system as it is now ... now I have this 5G recovery partition ... how do I get rid of it and get back that space ...

Ideally I would like to replace it with a back of the current system ... is that possible with the IBM recovery program or does it only allow for creating external media recovery files?

Is it possible to use that space for example to back up the current configuration replacing the factory loaded version? .... using either the IBM recovery package or TrueImage ??

thanks in advance

TI has the ability to create a bootable recovery environment similar to R&R. I've never used it but I've seen it.

if TI is TrueImage ... I use that to create my image of the HD, backup of documents and essential windows and email folders ... once set up I never have to think about it ... I set the boot F11 so that it can recovery from boot ... and I must say everything seems to work like a dream ... simple set up, configuration, and operational ... I perfer it handsdown to Ghost ... which "seems" more professional as a program but the key word there being "seems" ... tried it... did not like it ...
