Rescue and Recovery discs

Hi i have recently received my T60 200763U. I was going to create the rescue and recovery discs. Knowing it takes 6 CDs to create, is there anyway i cna have it on DVDs? is all 6 cd going to be on the cd or just in dvd format but still need 6 dvds to create? Sry if this has been posted before, i used the search functions and received no answer. Thanks in advance

You can complete the process using 1 CD and 1 DVD. Use the CD first, and it will create the "IBM Rescue and Recovery Startup Disc" and use the DVD next to create the "IBM Product Recovery Disc".

It will not expect 6 DVDs to be inserted. This page has additional information.

I just made a set for my T42. The first disc needs to be a CD. This is your boot disc. The next disc can be a DVD or else 6 CD's. This is the Product Recovery Software, including Windows.

When I made my first set, I used 7 CD's. After I restored factory contents with these discs, I made another set using one CD and one DVD. You can only burn one set. But if you restore factory contents, you can burn a set again.
