Problems Sleep Modus T60

#1 Post by user » Tue May 09, 2006 11:13 am

Hi guys,
short question. I bought a new T60 couple of days ago. Everything runs well. Just one big Problem. Always if i shutdown my note in to the sleep modus i cant restart it. You can see that the notebook is working but the note is not able to come back on the working level and you have to make a comlete restart. In this case he produce a blue screen. If you dont use that feature there are no problems.
need help

Thanks
Soeren

You never stated if you were using Standby or Hibernate.

First of all, generally you have to use the Fn key to come out of Standby on a ThinkPad. I imagine it's the same with Hibernate too, but I have never used Hibernate.

One rule of thumb is never unplug or plug in any hardware while in Standby mode. This can cause problems coming out of Standby.

Some programs can prevent Standby. Running video will usually prevent Standby. A program called Alcohol 120% can prevent Standby from what I have read.

I think I saw a thread several months ago where the OP had the same problem as you. A good search on this forum should find it.
