The T60P is a fantastic Machine, though it only worked for 10 minutes !

Now I have to wait for the Recovery Disc

It is a big mistake that IBM / LENOVO does not include the Recovery CD with the Machine

It makes me loose 10 days. I have a new T60P siting in my desk, useless

Next time I will purchase a PANASONIC ToughBoook ! Recovery CD are always included with PANASONIC mACHINE

And why did it stop working...? BTW, it's pretty common on these days that recovery CD's are not included with laptop. Others than Lenovo do it too.

I received my T60P yesterday -

10 minutes later I was unable to use it !

I have to wait 2 weeks for the recovery CD

Why ?

What hapenned ? an accumulation of bad luck, accident and mistakes while I WAS MAKING the recovery disc.

I was so excited when I receive a new ThinkPad that I can make mistakes

I had the same problems with my A31P & X31

In each case Mr Bill Morrow sent me the RECOVERY DISC through UPS

bUT THIS TIME Bill Morrow could not suplly me this Thinkpad. I had to purchase it from somewhere else.

And Now I am waiting

My next machine will be a CF30 ToughBook : they supply the Recovery

Otherwise the T60P is a nice achine (for the 10 minutes it has worked properly)

By the way , I would like to say THAT IT IS A SHAME that Mr Bill Morrow is not allowed to sell ThinkPad any more

I have purchased ALL my ThinkPad and PANANSONIC machine from him

He is an excellent business man

From him I found

1-Excelent technical support
2-Cheap Prices
3-Fast delivery
etc, etc

We should thank Bill Morrow for is comitment to ThinkPads. Instead of that he receive nothin than banishment from LENOVO !

It is a shame

Good point. My guess is that.....that would seem to be the case.

Something happened and I cannot access the RECOVERY partition

I think it has been destroyed

Anyway I can't find it

I have lost ONE day trying to find this recovery partition

I would have prefer to spend this time in the nice café in Paris !!

It was so simple to includes the CD's !!!

On a $ 3 500 Machine, it is a minimum

I think you might find that the Missing Recovery CD,S are due more the way Microsoft want to control the amount of copies of recovery CD,S that are flying about. Do you not think it costs more money to sendd a set of disks out by post than sticking them in the box along with the computer. Sometime you need to step back and look at the wider picture .
A bit of advice for when your disks do turn up. I would suggest that you do a low level format before installing them as it sounds like you really messed the system up

1)Yes . I agree with you

Anyway , I am responsible

I have done some mistakes.

I should never PLAY with a new thinkpad the day it arrives.

I should wait a little while

2) Low level format of HDD

Thank you for your advice

I will use a Second Disc Adapter in the ultra bay (sold by Bill Morrow for my T41P) with a HDD with Win XP on it. And I will format with Partition Magic ?
