Free 30 Day Verizon wireless Broadband Access

I have the 200794u T60P and I had to take my car in for service today. So, I thought I would try out verizon wireless for 24 hours ($15). so, when I ran VZManager and selected "Get Access", a webpage presented this option. So, I signed up for it (with no obligation). I confirmed it by calling verizon wireless and they stated that the wireless account that was created as a result of this promotion was prepaid and would expire at the end of 30 days. I wondered if any one else came across this promotion?
