How to restore the hidden partition from a ghost image?

Hi there, I did something stupid and now the hidden partition is gone, unfortunately I didn't make the R&R CDs, but I do have a ghost image of the partition. I used partitionmagic and allocated a partition of the same size at the end the harddrive and tried to restore the image to this area. However, the image has a file system type of "diagnostic" which is different than the new partition which has fat32 file system, and Ghost wouldn't allow the restoration. I was wondering if there is any way to bypass this so the ghost restoration will work.
Also I opened the image using ghost explorer and could see the files inside, there is folder called "recovery"(3.61G in size) which I think could be used to make the R&R CDs, however the files have weird types such as "imz" "imd" and "cri", and I can't open them at all. Is there any tool I can use to make recovery CDs out of these files?
I will appreciate any responses.
Thank you very much.
EDIT: It'll be great if anyone can send me a copy of the R&R CDs you made from your T60, I will cover the cost for sure.
