Greetings,

Did you use automatic machine check or manual check. Sometimes you make mistake during manual check because serial number typed in is wrong.

Got the answer from lenovo: It is because our devices are too new. Just send them the Invoice and they will enter the things. Otherwise its done when you need service first time...

Its because no data are entered since i did not buy in an IBM online store, just a local dealer...

I experienced that same problem using Firefox.

When I used Internet Explorer the info came up immediately using "detect my machine" and this was months ago, as I received one of the first T60's shipped.

In addition it worked flawlessly on the Z60 & X60 models as well. The key is to use Internet Explorer as your browser for this check.

What model number is your ThinkPad? I'm thinking that perhaps it's only with the new models ordered through the new ordering system. We have many new ThinkPads in my office and all of them show up when we use auto detect with IE (not Firefox or other browser). So my experience is that it's not with all browsers, just anything other than Internet Explorer. We also use auto detec for other inquiries on the Lenovo site and it works perfectly as long as we remember to use IE.
