Rescue and Recovery

I was just playing with the recovery....trying to recover a file on my desktop just to test if the backup worked.

Weird thing is, when I use the thankvantage button on bootup, I get stuck at step3, where you pick the location to restore the file. All I get is "copy files to the following location" with a blank drop down bar, but nothing ever loaded into the bar. I don't even get the option of restoring to the original location.

If I use rescue and recovery from windows, it works fine(it can find c: drive, etc), and I also have the option to restore to the original location.

Any ideas on what's wrong?
