Bluetooth Missing

Hello Everyone

Just got a new T60P (very happy!!!) but just developed a small problem. The option to turn the Bluetooth on has disappeared from the fn-f5 menu. It used to be there but has disappeared.

All the solutions I've seen regarding fixing bluetooth start with "press fn-f5 and turn on bluetooth". This is a little frustrating :D

Anyone have any ideas?

Not to sound stupid, but have you remeber to enable the wireless switch.

Other than that try to reinstall the driver.

Thank you for your reply

The wireless switch is enabled, I cannot reinstall the driver as I cannot enable the bluetooth for the driver to detect.

Have you tried looking in the bios, to see if Bluetooth is enablet there, other wise try to reinstall acess connections.

I was able to turn on Bluetooth with some bundled IBM software. It allows you to turn off the 802.11 and Bluetooth radios. I wish I could you tell you the name of it, but my OS is set to Japanese so I don't know what it is called in English.

I could find no other way to turn on the bluetooth, fn-F5 seems to have been deprecated.
