Yellowish Display on T60p

#1 Post by Tron04 » Fri May 19, 2006 11:52 am

Hello,

I got my new T60p some days ago and the display has a slight yellowish tint. Is this normal for the Flexview displays?

I compensated for this by setting the blue gamma to 1.4 with the ATI Control Panel, but would like to hear other experiences.

My display does not look yellow. The color balance is quite good.

I had a screen go bad on me and got a replacement from IBM. That screen was pretty yellow but since it was a lot better than what I had I did not complain.

I believe there are three TFT manufacturers for the screens and that IBM uses screens from each of them. Like in my A31 I have a choice of three different replacement screens.

I certainly would get the machine back to IBM, you do not want to have a yellowish tint to your screen. In particular when you do photo editing.
