Hotswapping batteries feature??

#1 Post by viper11885 » Fri May 19, 2006 8:15 pm

Hi,

I was wondering if the T60 had this feature??

On my old Dell laptop, when I wanted to change batteries while the computer is on, I could put the system in Standby mode and then switch the batteries. The computer would have enough charge to last about 1 min or so without the battery or ac adapter.

I tried this on the T60 but it doesn't work.

Is the procedure different? Or is there no such feature on the T60?

Thanks.

Go to Hibernate, not Suspend mode. As far as I know, no Thinkpad has ever supported taking out the main battery to swap whilst in suspend mode; it could be done, however, with an Ultrabay battery although I haven't tried that.

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.

Ok, thanks for the info.

Wish the T60 had this feature though. I find it very useful..
