T60p (2623-DDU) Recovery Disks - Help!

I have a T60p. I allowed Rescue & Recovery to install and lost all access to my primary drive. I can't get to the service partition. The system gets to the ThinkPad screen and then hangs with a cursor in the upper left. I can see the drive in the bios HDD test, but not from any bootable disks.

Is anyone out there willing to generate a set of recovery disks for me? I can't afford to lose this unit for ten days to have Lenovo take care of it.

I presume you have called Lenovo -- maybe they could send you some R&R disks?

If you explain what has happened, it is likely that they will send you a set of R&R CDs for free; else, there is a ~$45 fee.

I called them when I found out that for some reason I can't create either the Rescue Media or the Recovery Disks - on the Select Recordable Drive window, the drop down box has no selections. They worked with me for a bit, then sent out the set to me, no charge.

Anyone ever seen that before? 2623-D6U.
