Please help with Intel SpeedStep after clean W2k instal

#1 Post by brosen » Wed May 31, 2006 10:12 pm

I did install a clean Windows 2000 SP4, everything is working fine (also missing driver, other post) but after installing Intel SpeedStep, it is not working, everything is DIMMED in "Power Options" in the Control Panel, also the icon will not show in the Taskbar, and there is no way to "Enable" it, it says "Current Setting: Disabled", please any help, thanks

ACPI might be turned off in the BIOS.

Check under power options in the config? menu to make sure that the power management options are turned on.
