Ultrabay HDD Adapter Question

#1 Post by Hamid » Mon Jun 05, 2006 2:45 am

Hi,
As far as I have seen the T60 Ultrabay adapter hosts a SATA HDD that will actualy connect (convert) to an IDE PATA connector.

I am about to get an ultrabay adapter, but from what I recall the T43 ultrabay adapter hosted an IDE HDD.

Iwas windering if it would be possible to use a T43 ultrabay adapter on a T60?

Any thoughts?

Probably, yes.

The only thing useful (very useful for me) with the SATA adapter is that you can recycle your HDD if you upatedyour lappy with a newer one.

Other than that... IDE adapter is cheaper and HDD you'll put in it, cheaper too.

Thanks for the reply. I was wondering if anyone has tested using a T43 adapter on a T60. Does it physically fit ?

Anyone has tested this? (maybe people with both T43 and T60 could confirm this)

It's not officially supported but it does fit inside the unit.
