That specific T60 model seems to be offered with an attractive price everywhere. Actually, the SRP of US$1599 is already a good deal.
Just ordered one from another reseller today. Price was higher but still bought it cuz they can accomodate foreign buyers

Non-US buyers should be aware that one of the reasons that 2623-XXU models are cheaper is because they do not come with International Warranty.
Compare the difference between "2007" and "2623" into the box at the bottom of
this page.

I freaked out for awhile but since my computer order havent been sent out, I just like to make sure.
I called the Lenovo pre-sales department just now and spoke to two different sales reps and they assured me that I shouldn't worry as all Thinkpads come with international warranty (including 2623).
The 2nd sales rep even said that normally, 2623 buyers will want to service their machine in the US that's why other countries weren't listed.
What a relief !

Good to know, mate. Means that international buyers should consider going for the 2623 models as well.
The int. warranty site is a little misleading, however...

Does this mean if you have problem with a 2623 machine in any other country , it has to be brought back to US for service?

I still believe 2623 is not eligible for IWS service in outside US,because after I checked the Lonovo sales rep about additional upgradability of covarage of US only warranty into IWS,he told me 2623 has no IWS outside US as shown clearly in Web. No upgrade to IWS .
If 2623 type machine has a issue in outside US, we can not contact with local Lenovo CS office and we have to ask US Easy Serv by phone ,and if we need , we have to negociate about shipping of our faulty machine to export/import between our current location(outside US) and US customer service center.
