Thinkvantage access Connection Help

#1 Post by SPANKY. » Tue Jun 06, 2006 5:54 pm

I just got my t60p 2623ddu & had it for 3days now.Everything has been great until yesterday i use wireless through the thinkvantage access connections instead of the Windows Xp wireless. Now it wont even connect but it will connect with the windows wireless though?I did nothing to alter.I have the version 4.12 that came with it.I have uninstalled & installed the older 3.8x version & works fine with that.I would then reinstall by updating the older ACCESS CONNECTIONS & still same thing?Has anyone had this issue? When i try to find connection wireless in area it says none found with Thinkvantage? But with windows Xp wireless it does find my wireless connection?

I am not sure if this will help, but it is easy to implement. Go to Start > Connect To > right-click on your Wireless Adapter and choose properties. Click on the Wireless Networks tab, and uncheck box to: Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings.

Windows wireless and Access Connections don't play well together sometimes.

Try stopping the "Wireless Zero Configuration" service. This will disable the Windows wireless -- you might then get better results with AccCon.

It sure is!

I have mine set to "Manual" startup. AccCon was doing weird things (only working 90% of the time) before I did this.
