Has anyone removed Diskeeper Lite? Does it revert back to the Windows defrag program? It doesn't seem to do anything the Windows version does not.

Yes, I did as I could not run Diskeeper lite in safe mode. It did revert to Windows defrag.

I removed it and installed a full copy of Diskeeper. Great defragger.

Do you run the background application? Does it slow down the machine? To me, the Lite version looks just like the Windows defragger, so I'd rather use Windows than keep another application installed.

Try PerfectDisk 7.0 as a defragmenter; they have a trial version on their website that is a small download (~7MB tops).

I have the full version of PerfectDisk 7.0 and it works great; defrags the entire HDD as well as offline during boot up should it be scheduled or specified. :)

I'm not sure why Lenovo installed the lite version as the "Windows defragger" is already a "lite" version of Diskeeper anyway.

I run it at 2AM when I'm not using the machine and it works great :)
