ThinkPad Advanced Mini Dock & Adapter?

Can anyone tell me if the ThinkPad Advanced Mini Dock comes with an adapter? The wording of the product details is a bit vague:

"90W AC adapter Recharges the ThinkPad system battery while fueling all functions of the ThinkPad Advanced Mini Dock"

this does not necessarily mean it comes with an adapter but only the obvious that the adapter would work ...

if it comes with it then what is the point of buying the ThinkPad Essential Port Replicator which has fewer ports and no adapter and by the time you add the price of a new adapter it is cheaper to buy the advance mini dock ...

Cheaper of course being a relative term ... I still find them too expensive but am already tired of pluging and unpluging three or four times a day ...

will they soon drop dramatically in price to something I can afford? or will someone decide that they hate their dock and want to give it a good home ... the answer to both these questions is almost certainly no ... so I will have to decide whether or not to take the plunge ... but it would be nice to know if the adapter came with it or not ...

I like mine very much as it gives me full desktop functionality at my desk. That said, the shut-off issue is a big pain in the a**.

What is the "shut off issue" you referred to? I just got my T60p and the mini-dock. Had a little trouble with it the first sync or two but it seems to be okay now. Thanks for any info &/or tips.
