I have played with the T60P for over three weeks and here is my thoughts about it.

screen: 15'' with IPS. absolutely Beautiful. Viewing angles are excellent. 0 dead/stuck pixels (not counting that stupid trackpad dot). The brightness is perfect. Doesnt hurt to look at it and bright enough for outdoors.

Keyboard. ALPS. kinda disappointed with the keyboard. When i played with the old IBM T series, the keyboard had a different texture. The old ones were smooth and felt good to type on. The one i got is not bad but not what i expected.

Battery: using the 9 cell battery with screen at half i got 4 and half hours wi fi off. I bought the optical battery also but have not had time to try it out. I am satisfied with the amount of battery life on this machine.

Core Duo: Seems to be fast but it is interesting that i never see both CPUs at 100% utilization. No matter what i do, it doesnt go to 100%.

Fans: Seems pretty loud. I havent tried tweaking the fan settings but the stock settings seem to run the fans a lot.

GPU- FireGL 5200. Havent played games so i havent tested to see if games crash.

other observations: I think my computer came with a faulty security chip. Because everytime i boot up, the bios says that the settings of the embedded chip changed. Getting to be annoying because sometimes it would freeze at the screen where it is checking the security chip. I would have to hard reboot and try again.

conclusion:
Computer is a very good computer, worth every penny. But it didnt knock me off my feet like i thought it would. With that said, i am still glad i chose lenovo/ibm
