About a month ago, I posted on this board for information on if the Matrox QID LP PciX would fit and work in the Advanced Dock. The replies to that post indicated this card would not work, due to it's length. However, I thought the poster was in error, as the length as specified by Matrox for the QID was the same as for the Parhelia APVe, which was proven to fit in the dock; furthermore, it also matched the dimensional requirements specified in the Advanced Dock User Manual. So, I decided to order the QID and try it out.
I am happy to report the QID LP PciX DOES fit and work in the Advanced Dock, with no problems. I am currently running five Samsung SyncMaster 214T's, one via the DVI port on the dock and four via DVI on the QID. Set-up was quick, simple and painless.
If others on this forum are searching for a way to drive several monitors through the Advanced Dock, I enthusiastically recommend this card.
