Software Installer - Failed to download this package

Each time I try to use the Software Installer I'm getting 'Failed to download this package' error. First I thought there is a problem with firewall/antivirus/antispyware but even when I disable all these tools I'm still getting the error.
The 'System Update' tool works fine but I prefer the Installer over the update Java app.

Any thoughts what I'm doing wrong?

I had the same problem while trying to download the Intel LAN drivers. I then realized that I had deleted some folders on the C drive such as IBMTools, SWTools, etc. when i restored those folders, I was able to download the packages again.

I've had the same problem with some but not all updates. I ended up manually downloading those updates.
