T60 and bluetooth not active
I have tried everything to get my Bluetooth to work, but each time I get that there is no device found. I have turned it on in the BIOS and uninstalled the software and reinstalled the software but nothing. It is a 2007-57u. The firmware update does not even see it. Any ideas?

When it installed did it run you through a lengthy installation routine and configuration for several devices?
Does it show in device manager after your reinstallation and is it enabled?
The first time that I installed the BT support it was a quick blink, but didn't work. When I downloaded the newest package per the driver matrix and reinstalled the process was more lengthy and involved than my prior attempt and was successful.

T'Pad 600e, 770x, A20p, A21p, A30p, A31p (2653-H3U), T43p (2668-Q2U) & T60p (2623-DDU)...it's an addiction.

I had some kind of screw-up with Bluetooth a couple of weeks ago (presumably because I had been installing other stuff that used BT) with the result that the Bluetooth device was apparently lost (indicator lamp off) as were the associated COM ports.
I solved it by uninstalling the IBM Bluetooth software (as well as Logitech SetPoint for my BT mouse), then downloading and installing the latest versions.
But first check what the Device Manager is showing as Bluetooth devices. You should have Bluetooth Bus Enumerator and ThinkPad Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate. If you have, then the device is not really lost, but for some reason isn't connected.
You might also look for hidden devices. Set the system environment variable DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES = 1 then in Device Manager's View menu you can select Show Hidden Devices. Does that reveal additional entries under Bluetooth devices?
I'm afraid that this is not an area that I fully understand. I'm just sharing clues in case they trigger something useful for you.
