2.16 GHz and 128 MB video or 2 GHz and 256 MB video?
2.16 GHz and 128 MB video or 2 GHz and 256 MB video?
2.16 GHz and 128 MB video
or
2 GHz and 256 MB video
I have to choose between these two T60 option (does not come 2.16 GHz and 256 MB) - which one makes more sense?
I never do games but do miniDV editing + all the other office and biomed science applications.
Thanks!

Hmmm, you are splitting hairs here....
You won't notice much of a difference between 2.16GHz and 2GHz, even with the Duo Core. Myself? I would go with the 2GHz 256MB VRAM combo as you would still have ~2GHz but more in the way of VRAM in the event you need it (With the biosciences, there is always the chance that you will need some powerful visualization and rendering abilities on your system).
Just curious, my research also involves biomedical and bioengineering applications, what apps do you plan to run and for what purpose?

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.

You don't have to choose
You can have both -- for a modest premium -- if you order from a sales rep instead of on-line. Here is the system I just bought.

The configuration I quoted is 15". I did not ask about 14".csicsi wrote:I do not want the Verizon EWDO WWAN option (can not stand looking a Verizon antenna which has no use outside of the US), and need a 14" monitor.
Lenovo rep told me that they do not do it 2.16 GHz + 256 MB video memory.
If you know a way otherways, let me know.
Thanks.
Bear in mind, the 15" T60p is compact. Compared to the R50p, it is much smaller.

What is the full model number please? Thanks...robbi wrote:Here is the system I just bought. Lenovo ThinkPad T60p 2007 -

I have 2.16 GHz and 256 MB video memory (see signature line below), but maybe that combination is not available in the US?
If you wait a bit longer (September?) you can have the T2700 CPU with 2.33 GHz and maybe that will be available with 512 MB video memory. But, frankly, you're hardly likely to feel the difference.
