Strange phenomenon with my T60 as of late.

I have one of the fastest dual-core notebooks available.
You would *think* this baby would perform well under
any sort of stress.

However....

Ever so often when I am typing (and I type fast), the
text slows down to the point that I am 4 words ahead
of what is actually being typed out.

I can actually feel the T60 crawling/struggling to keep
up with me.

Anyone else experiencing this problem? Is it a known
problem?

Thanks in advance!

The ATI Hotkey poller can do that at times; at others, it just seems to be Windows XP being slow as I have never experienced that on either BSD or Linux.

See what killing off the ATI Hotkey poller does.

HTH :)

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.

Christopher,

What is the ATI Hotkey poller and how do I disable it?

Thanks for your help thus far!
