Cingular option locked?

#1 Post by norfolkpaul » Tue Jul 18, 2006 5:17 am

Does anyone know if the Cingular card is locked to Cingular?

I had a 2623DDU laptop shipped to the UK, which means the Verizon card is no use to me at all.

I'd love to have inbuilt 3G / EDGE with the Cingular card, but only if it's unlocked off course to use any SIM.

The only other question is - where can I get a Cingular MiniPCIE card, and does anyone want to swap one for my Verizon card? ;)

I don't think you want the Cingular card. It only supports 850/1900MHz UMTS/HSDPA.

The Vodafone card in Euro thinkpads supports 2100 UMTS/HSDPA.

Next question is, where can I get me one of those then? :)
