Difference between model 2007 and 2008?

Hi
Does anyone know the difference between a T2500 and a T2600 Intel core duo proccessor, other than one is 2,0GHz and the other is 2,16GHz?
And is there any major difference between a model 2007 and 2008 T60p?
The reason I am asking is that there is a major difference in what it costs, and the only difference I can see is that the CPU runs 100Mhz faster on the 2008 model, plus it has a 9cell battery instead of a 6cell on the 2007 model?
The price difference is aprox: 1460 USD a lot of money for just a bigger battery and 100Mhz extra.
Edit: Forgot to write the model numbers.
2007 model: UT0FBDK
2008 model: UT993DK

That's the only difference I could see.
I have the 2008-93G (that's the 2008 model you quote). It's great. I'd be tempted to save the money, although you may find you would benefit from the 9cell battery (I have an ultrabay one too) as this box does suck juice.
Having said that by shutting down all tasks I managed to get time remaining above 6 hours (I managed to hit about 7.5 on an old T40). Normally it's more 4-5 hours with both batteries.

No, just the differences (processor & battery) that you have noted. As is usually the case, one pays a hefty premium for the "latest & fastest" processor. In reality of everyday usage, unless you are doing some extremely demanding computing, you will not even notice the difference in the two processors. Compared to your other ThinkPad you listed here, the new one (2007) will be a rocket!
I do some pretty serious, resource intensive computing and the combination of 2.0GHz processor & 2.0GB ram in mine is more than appropriate for the job at hand.

I believe that's the WWAN used for EVDO networks. Basically Internet anywhere you get cellular.

Get the 2007 as the processor performance difference is dubious from a price/perf standpoint. The 9-cell battery is on sale here.

Does this mean i can put a sim card in it, and call up to the internet?
Does all the T60p have this?
Think ill go for the cheaper model, and as Scratch say, I can always buy a second battery if needed.

The differences can be (and are) subtle. For instance, in the educational pricing machines at least, the 2007 ones need to be sent off to ezserve for repair, and the 2008 include the cost of a tech support guy running over to your site to fix things.
These sorts of details you have to look close to see on the tabook or web site.
Found this on another post :

Is that also what makes the big price differrence, an on site warenty?
