Fn + F3 doesn't hover on Power Off Display

#1 Post by young guy » Wed Aug 02, 2006 8:03 pm

So before when I used to press Fn +F3 I would get the Power Scheme Menu and the mouse would automatically hover over the "Power Off Display" option.

I recently uninstalled the ATI drivers and re-installed it and now when I press Fn + F3 I still get the Power Scheme Menu but the mouse automatically hovers over "Power Source Optimized".

I know I can change the setting so that as soon as I press Fn +F3 I can turn the display off, but I don't want that. I want it to still display the Power Scheme Menu but the mouse will automatically hover over "Power Off Display". Any ideas how I can do this?

young guy, mine hovers to power source optimized, which is at the top of the list, power off is at the bottom, maybe an older version had this displayed in a different sequence. Never reinstalled the ati drivers.

I know, it was a mistake to re-install the drivers.

"Power Source Optimized" was always at the top of the list before and after the re-install. But the mouse still used to go to the bottom of the list and hover over "Power Off Display".

It is not a big deal, just wondering if there was a solution.

young guy,

I think you misread, I said "I never reinstalled the drivers" not that it's a mistake, i'm always reloading, uninstalling this and that, on the current HD i have in my t60 it still has the factory, (no updates from microsoft or lenovo) install. On my other HD it has the updates and I remember there is an updated ati driver so i'll check that out tonight and see where the fn>f3 lands on that one.
