Intel 3945 "cannot start" Code 10

I have had my T60 for about a month now & last night I shut it down & when I restarted bam the wireless won't restart.

I have tried everything:
Uninstalling numerous times, dumping AC, countless drivers from IBM & Intel, physically removed & reinserted the card.

Would not worry too much but that 3945's backordered until 9/4/06.

They are sending me a different Intel card but it does not show to be compatible to my system (2623-D6U), merely sending it to see if it will work. Anybody w/ a clue whether this phantom card will work & what part it might be?

Any other ideas would be appreciated.

If they no longer have the Intel 3945, that might just be your lucky day. Many here report that the IBM Atheros card is much better than the Intel 3945, why don't you ask them to send you an Atheros?

Do a search here on the board, there were a few discussions not too long ago about these two cards.

Well they sent me an atheros card but it is FRU 39T5578. Form what I have found on the forum that is the wrong part.

Can someone please let me know if this is the correct part or if I need to call for the correct part & which FRU I need.
