keyboard & fast typing

Hello,

I received my t60 a week ago and besides the fan noise I am really happy with it.
The only problem encountered so far, is kinda strange. When i press the keys "e","r" and "t" simultaneously i get a PC beep which really annoys me. same with other combinations like "dfg" and "cvb". With all combinations the last key is not recorded and some combinations work (like "qwe"). Is this bug or maybe some strange setting, buried within the thinkpads settings? (i dunno if it helps, but the keyboard is a FRU-KBD GERMAN CHICONY)

cheers,

flo

Well I checked, and I have the same issue, I have an US international ALSP keyboard, and the mentioned combinations dont seem to work.

As your topic title is called fast typing, I suppose this occurs when typing fast? So when you type you press three buttons simulteneously? How does that that work? When you press a key your other fingers don't have time to move of the other key? Just must type really fast.

Btw to disable the beep, go to your hardware list, show hidden devices, and disable the beep.

Hi,

thanks for the reply. the beep disappeared when I upgraded the keyboard configuration tool last night.
Just must type really fast
hehe, yeah, but with a lot of typos, so in the end it's just average. :)

I'll have to see if this behaviour was also present on my old IBM r32. I'll post the results when my girlfriend returns it to me ;)
