Remove sticks on memory before install into thinkpad?
I have ordered an extra 1GB memory for my T60p, and the memory came with 2 paper sticks on each side. Should I remove them before install, or I can leave them there?
T60p 2613-ENU: 2.13GHz, 2.0GB DDR2, 100GB 7200rpm, DVDRW, 15''IPS, 9-cell;
T40 2373-94U: 1.6 GHz, 1.0GB, 80GB 4200rpm, CDRW/DVD, 14'', 9-cell.

You mean two little pieces of paper, like labels on the sides? If thats what you are talking about, leave them on. You will lose the warranty if you remove them (does it say, "Warranty Void If Removed"?).riverwater wrote:I have ordered an extra 1GB memory for my T60p, and the memory came with 2 paper sticks on each side. The other one say 1GB PC2-5300 CL5 1.8V D N (128Mx64) (4L) Origin: CN QPT: 40Y7734 FRU: 40Y8403 QIM 2006-08-07". I did not see "Warranty voild if removed? on the sticks.
